We are receiving emails like the above more and more frequently. We got two of them today alone before lunch. They are from your Guests who see the Referring Salon/Stylist’s name listed at the bottom on their cultandking.com order… who want their referral switched to someone else in our system of wholesale accounts.
The purpose of this post is to let everyone know how we are going to handle it: We’re going to give the people what they want. (Did anyone expect us to do anything else?)
BUT, we’re setting some ground rules:
- We must hear it directly from the guest in order to make any Lifetime Customer switch (Wholesale Accounts, please don’t even ask), and;
- We are not going to take the credit away from the original referral (That would be rude! After all, they’re already losing a Lifetime Customer in our program, plus we remain tremendously grateful for them introducing the guest to CULT+KING in the first place);
- We are going to award a second credit (just this one time for this one purchase) of the same amount to the new referral. (Did anyone expect us to do anything else?)
- This solution represents extra manual computer work for our team and a doubled reward for us, and we are happy to do it — but it will take a few days after orders are placed. Please be patient with us.
Yes, this is the kind of important stuff we created a Wholesale News page to tell you about. Actually, we expect to cover here news big and small, from the ridiculous to the sublime. This was just today’s top story, dwarfed only by the size of the gigantic glass recycling container Jared had delivered today.
